Nozomi Sasaki shows off clear skin in CM for “FANCL”

Model and actress Nozomi Sasaki has been appointed as the brand new brand ambassador for the skincare company FANCL. Besides cosmetics, FANCL is quite known for their dietary supplement products too.

In the CM a fresh faced Nozomi is seen at her vanity applying some “Enrich Lotion II”. She repeatedly pokes her face showing how supple and plump the lotion made it. Check out the CM along with BTS footage below!

The lotion is said to help maintain collagen, along with encouraging your skin to crate more. The core ingredients include sweet pea flower which helps with fighting oxidative stress, and evening primrose extract which will help with collagen.

Nozomi’s CM began airing nationwide on October 1st, 2019.

Mackenyu Arata wants you to drink Milk Protein

Top actor Mackenyu Arata has been the face of many CMs this year, and now he has another notch to add to his belt. He has been appointed as the brand new face of SAVAS Milk Protein, one of the many lines under the giant food corporation Meiji.

The “Style Body” line is mainly targeted towards girls, with the concept of the CM targeted around Mackenyu giving you training advice for each day of the week. Meiji claims that this content will inspire young girls to train their body, and keep them motivated to live a healthy lifestyle.

Decked out in purple workout gear and a pink Helmut Lang t-shirt, Mackenyu casually sits on a cube while giving out advice. A female model is present to actually work out on his behalf.

Watch Arashi’s brand new CM for JAL Airlines

Johnny’s group Arashi has had a long history with one of Japan’s top airlines, JAL. To bring in both the new year and decade, a new CM featuring the group will begin airing nationwide in Japan beginning on January 13th, 2020.

The CM will focus on a brand new passenger aircraft called “A350”. In the CM all five members of Arashi explore the empty aircraft, playing around with the new features and marveling at the beauty of the plane! JAL has already uploaded the 30 second CM version to their official Twitter account. Check it out below:

Some of the features highlighted include the in-flight catalog, plenty of power supplies by the comfortable seats, and the reduced CO2 emissions.

Furthermore, a special “20TH ARASHI THANKS JET” will begin to make the rounds featuring all the boys at the side of the plane. Keep an eye out for Arashi in the sky!

Arashi’s Satoshi Ohno transforms into Popeye

Arashi’s leader Satoshi Ohno will be appearing in a brand new set of CMs promoting Ajinmoto’s line of extra virgin olive oil. In the CMs Satoshi will be playing the role of the beloved American cartoon character Popeye.

The campaign is called “Let’s OLIVE”, and also features Popeye’s girlfriend who is appropriately named Olive Oyl. In the CMs the two showcase the versatility of olive oil, using it to compliment many other dishes such as potatoes salad, chicken wings, and rice balls.

The CM will begin to air nationwide in Japan beginning on March 19th, and a different set will begin on March 26th. Satoshi commented that he regularly uses olive oil when preparing food for himself. His favorite dishes to use it with are shrimp and carapaccio. He also had a lot of fun with his modifies Popeye arms.

Matt Kuwata joins forces with mannequin family “The Fuccons” for a CM campaign

Citizen of earth Matt Kuwata is the new face for Mouse Computer‘s latest web CM campaign. Matt is joined by the mannequin family The Fuccons, also known as “Oh! Mikey”.

The Fuccons is a series of comedy sketches created by performance artist Yoshimasa Ishibashi. It follows a family of American expatriates living in Japan, every member of the family is played by a mannequin. The series gained a cult following overseas, and even aired in The United States on the G4 network and Anime network.

In the CMs Matt is seen interacting with The Fuccons in their home, promoting the various products Mouse Computers offers including high-end laptops, desktops, and virtual reality accessories. Matt is portrays the older brother of the character Mikey, the resemblance is uncanny!

When asked about filming the CMs Matt revealed that it was a little difficult not being able to blink. One method he used while filming his scenes was to close his eyes for a bit, and then open them right when the camera was turned on and began filming. In the opening music, Matt provided support by playing soprano saxophone. A many of many talents, he’s also trained with the Piano.

Matt also joked that he resembles this family more than his actual one. “It’s more family-like than dad!” (Matt’s father is ex professional baseball player Masumi Kuwata)

Kenshi Yonezu teases new song “Mayoeru Hitsuji”

Singer Kenshi Yonezu is prepping for the release of his brand new studio album titled “Stray Sheep”. Yonezu has previewed a brand new song from the album in a new CM for the drink “Calorie Mate”. Promoted as a nutritional drink “balanced” for humans, the CM will begin to air nationwide beginning on August 1st.

The new song featured in the CM is titled “Mayoeru Hitsuji” and was reportedly written just for the CM tie-in. In the CM Yonezu appears to be in a dystopian world, where he walks side by side with a giant mechanical fox.

“Stray Sheep” will be released on August 5th, 2020. Check out the full CM below!

Mai Shiraishi forgets her password in new CM for “HENNGE One”

Ever since her graduation from Nogizaka46 last year, Mai Shiraishi has had a very healthy amount of solo activities. As a member of Nogizaka46 she was the star of many CM campaigns, and that trend has continued. Shiraishi will be starring in a brand new nationwide campaign for “HENNGE One”.

“HENNGE One” is a service that provides a single sign-on feature mainly used for business purposes. With this users are able to sign into multiple services (email, Ring Central, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, etc.) by just using one password and sign in. In the CM Shiraishi perfectly illustrates how coinvent this is as she franticly looks through sticky notes to try and find a specific password.

Starting this month the CM will air in the Nagoya Metropolitan Area, and then in Feburary will start to air all around Japan. The CM song is provided by Ikuko Harada, the vocalist and keyboardist from the band Clammbon.

Evangelion’s Rei Ayanami stars in new CM for KATE’s “Red Nude Rogue” lip rogue

The latest, and final (allegedly..) film in the famed Neon Genesis Evangelion series currently has a pending release date. “Evangelon: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time” was originally planned for release in 2015, and after repeated delays had a finalized release date of June 27th, 2020. However, COVID-19 happened.

This caused the film to be delayed until February 2021, but that date was now changed again to an unspecified release date this year. Despite that promotional materials for the film are still being released, with one of the main characters Rei Ayanami starring in her own new CM!

She will be promoting a limited edition lip rogue set from the popular makeup brand KATE. Titled “Red Nude Rogue” the makeup is housed in a beautiful red tin with the packaging featuring a portrait of Rei wearing the shade of rogue found inside. Already a hot commodity, it has instantly sold out on Amazon Japan.

In the CM the fashionable Rei is seen applying the rogue on the street while she waits to meet with someone. Check out the full CM below:
